Subcontractors

Subcontractors

In addition to our in-house capabilities, we may also partner with select outside contractors for specialty services. We understand the importance of excellence in every aspect of our production, as do our subcontractors. With this in mind, it is imperative that the proper procedures and protocol be followed while working at Newcastle Shipyards.

  • Workers Compensation and Employers Liability ($500,000 minimum), including The United States Longshore and Harbor Workers (USL&H) coverage endorsement. A Waiver of subrogation in favor of Newcastle Shipyards, LLC is also required.

To ensure no delays in the commencement of work to be performed, please submit all Certificate of Insurance(s) in advance for review and approval to:

Safety Orientation

A Safety Orientation will be given by our Safety Department before work commences at Newcastle facilities. We ask that subcontractors maintain an updated list of employees working on site to provide to us in case of an emergency at all times.

It is the responsibility of the subcontractor to set up an appointment with our Safety Department for the safety orientation prior to starting work. It is also the responsibility of the subcontractor to provide safety training to its employees as required by OSHA as well as convey any and all safety regulations we require.

To set up the Safety Orientation, please contact:
